European Geothermal Workshop (EGW) 2026

1. General Information

These Terms and Conditions govern the registration and participation in the European Geothermal Workshop (EGW) 2026, hosted by the Technische Universität (TU) Darmstadt. By registering for the workshop, the participant agrees to these terms.

2. Registration and Payment

• Binding Registration: All registrations are handled through the Converia registration platform and are considered legally binding once submitted.
• Payment Methods (Secupay): All payments are handled securely through Secupay within the Converia system. Participants can choose to pay immediately during the online registration process or opt to receive an invoice to pay later.
• Invoicing: If paying by invoice, payment must be completed within 14 days of the invoice date. All bank or transaction charges must be covered by the participant.
• Late Payments: If payment is not received prior to the start of the event, the organizing committee reserves the right to deny entry.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Given the logistical constraints of catering and venue reservations at TU Darmstadt, the following cancellation policy applies to all ticket types:

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to the official organizing committee address.

4. Substitute Participants

If a registered participant is unable to attend, they may transfer their ticket to a colleague or substitute from the same institution at no additional cost. To process a substitution, the participant must notify the organizing committee via email at least 3 days prior to the start of the workshop, providing the full name and contact details of the substitute.

5. Event Alterations and Cancellation by Organizer

• Program Changes: The organizing committee reserves the right to make modifications to the workshop program, schedule, or speakers due to unforeseen circumstances without prior notice.
• Event Cancellation: In the unlikely event that EGW 2026 must be canceled by the organizers, all paid registration fees will be fully refunded. However, the organizers are not liable for any further costs incurred by the participant, such as travel, accommodation, or visa expenses.

6. Liability

The organizing committee and TU Darmstadt do not accept liability for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property that may occur during the workshop, field trips, or social events (such as the Ice Breaker or Conference Dinner).
